Bio Tech Oils - Winner of Impact of Technology on Your Business
Tredegar-based, Bio Tech Oils is the largest Welsh producer of bio diesel – an environmentally friendly road fuel made from recycled used cooking oils. New legislation from the European Union states that by 2008, 2.38 per cent of all road diesel must be of a renewable nature, and to achieve this target 368 million tons of environmental friendly fuel must be produced each year. The Valleys firm believe they are well placed to help fill this requirement, with current production levels at 90,000 litres per week, and previous customers that include the 2007 Live Earth Concert at Wembley Arena.
Managing Director, Steve Berrow explained: “Our clients demand certification of the materials they purchase and we are the only bio fuel producers in Wales to have in-house testing facilities, created using the latest technology.
