Submit Editorial

Editorial Requirements

Chamber Chat is editorially driven, and seeks to publish the most newsworthy, topical and interesting features, updates and comments from its members and the wider business community.  Editorial submissions are welcomed from all members and affiliate members of ngb2b, and the most newsworthy will be considered for inclusion, at the editors discretion.

If you have high-resolution images to accompany the press release, please send these as attachments (preferably in JPG format) with full picture captions.  The Editor reserves the right to edit all copy submitted without notice or proofs.  This will only be done to make copy more readable or to reduce it to the required word count.

Sections that Require Editorial from Members are:

* Members News
We have space to feature up to 10 short news stories.  Press releases should contain between 150-230 words and a copy should be emailed to the Editor, along with relevant images.

* In Focus
The main feature section of each issue is based on a key business theme.  If you feel you have the expertise to write a lead feature please follow these guidelines:
  • We are looking for inside knowledge and facts, written in a lively informative fashion.  The feature can be loosely linked to your company but is not an opportunity to advertise your business
  • The lead feature piece should be approximately 650 words, and should be accompanied by images if possible.  There are opportunities to submit shorter news pieces in the In Focus section, if these are related to the given theme.  These should be no longer than 300 words.

(The In Focus theme will be communicated via email prior to the issue deadline)

* Hot Tips
If you are an industry expert with advice and tips to share, we would welcome your submissions.  Copy should be approximately 500 words and may be accompanied by images if these are relevant.

* New Appointments
We have space to feature up to 3 new appointment stories, accompanied by a clear image with full picture captions.  Press releases should contain between 100-200 words.

* Other News
If you have legal, business or industry news that may be of interest to our members and affiliates, we would welcome your submissions.  Press releases should contain between 250-500 words and be accompanied by relevant images.

Free New Member Adverts

As a new member you will receive a complimentary full colour 1/8 page advert in the New Members section of Chamber Chat.  This opportunity is worth £120 + VAT, so use it to promote your business.

In an email from the Editor, you will be asked to either:
  • Submit artwork for your advertisement: 88mm wide x 50mm high, in PDF, JPG, TIFF or EPS format, minimum 300dpi, CMYK format.
  • Submit your company logo (high-resolution JPG format), full contact details, including a contact name and 30 words to describe your business.

If you wish to upgrade the size of your advert you can take advantage of a £120 discount off the fee (the price of your free size advert).  Please see Advertising Rates for prices and Contact the Editor with your requirements at kim.turner@centreforbusiness.co.uk .

Please note that failure to supply details by the deadline specified will mean we can only publish the contact details we hold for you on our database and you will receive a basic text entry.
